45 Pounds (More or Less) - K.A. Barson

Ann is a very wonderful character, she is strong but I can also imagine that she feels depressed. She is overweight, no matter what she tries, as soon as she is done with a diet she gains the weight back.

But now her Aunt Jackie (who was a really kick-ass woman) is getting married and she wants to fit in a dress a few sizes less. She starts a diet (comes in problem with paying it and so), she loses weight, discovers things about her family, and meets a very very cute boy.

She also makes new friends, especially one, one girl who is really supportive and caring.

I really disliked the mother of the story. She wouldn't listen to her daughter, and if Ann would eat something (no matter if she never ate anything for hours) she would get remarks about her always eating (I can tell you that doesn't work) and so there are many things. Luckily in the end the mom turns around a bit, after a few speeches and talks.

The whole book was absolutely wonderful, really inspiring. Not everyone who is overweight gets it because they are always eating. Some (like Ann) try and try but lose nothing. I know a few people like that. So this book hit home quite close.

I would really recommend this book to everyone! As soon as it comes out in paperback I will be sure to buy it. :)
