僕はお姫様になれない (1) (電撃コミックスNEXT) - Toshiya Wakabayashi

This is a short review for the first 2 volumes.

I spotted this one on my Goodreads feed and decided to check it out. Now on the one hand I wish I wasn't so curious, but on the other hand I did like it. Yes, confusing, I know.

Instead of a normal review I will just post like/didn't like parts.

Like:
-The fact these girls (and our boy) represent fairy tales. We have Cinderella, we have the prince (since it seems we have one of him, a lot of the girls are gravitating to him), we have Snow White, we have the Little Mermaid, and several other characters have a fairy tale theme around them. It is just so much fun trying to decipher who they are, some are super easy, but there are a few that took me a bit longer.
-The art. The art is absolutely fabulous, I love the style and how the characters are drawn.
-This one will also be featured on the dislike part: the misunderstandings. I do like them, they make me laugh.

Dislike:
-The misunderstandings. Because they just keep going on and on and on, and did I say on? And they keep on stacking. It just gets annoying, frustrating, and I want to scream at the characters for being so stupid. Come on guys, can't you all just talk normally?
In the end I just had a headache.
-The characters. Especially the Trap (because the joke is getting old) and the Mermaid girl (because of how she treats people, how she just dates someone because the helped them).
-The story just doesn't seem to go anywhere. I am not sure how one would keep on enjoying the same stupidity over and over again.

As you can see, it is balanced, so I am giving this one a 3 stars, and maybe I will continue when volume 3 is around. Maybe I will just put this on my dropped list. I am not sure yet.
